Choose court rules, select Detect, review the findings, and apply the corrections you choose. Word controls editing, Undo, layout, and saving.
OpenAI API key is the default connection. Enter your key in AI settings and save, or choose Continue without AI. Detect and Correct work without an AI account. Optional AI features use your own OpenAI API account and may incur OpenAI charges; a ChatGPT subscription does not include API usage.
Keys stay in memory unless you select Remember key. Select Forget key to remove an active or remembered key. Leave Remember unchecked on shared devices.
Local Claude and Codex assistance requires the optional Formatter for Mac companion and an authenticated vendor CLI. Chat and dictation use an OpenAI API key. Local AI is available on Mac only.
Formatter requires WordApi 1.3. Features depend on the APIs available in your Word version: page setup needs WordApiDesktop 1.3; PDF preview needs the PdfFile requirement set. If a capability is unavailable, use Word's own controls for that step.
Email [email protected] with your Word version, operating system, the action you tried, and the error message. Do not include API keys, passwords, or confidential documents. We can arrange a suitable process if a document is needed.
